| Can xbox 360 be affected by a virus from an infected USB flash drive? This question recently came to me when my brother came home from work. He brought home some movie collections on his 16 GB USB flash drive. It then came to me, that my brother used to have problems with virus, adwares, malwares, spywares on his PC and he is such a reckless user that he would often plug his USB every PC he use on various net cafes. This made me question him and ask if his USB is clean. So before I feel sorry for plugging that flash drive, can my xbox 360 be affected by viruses from flashdrives? |
| It is really annoying when your device like Xbox 360 is affected by a virus. Hence, it is important that you give protection on it. But so far, as I use my Xbox 360 I never had any issues about virus attack. I think Xbox 360 has an exclusive protection against hackers and it won't easily be destroyed. I think it is just important to keep your device out of any harmful downloadable games from the internet. |

As far as I know and base on other discussions I looked at the internet I can directly say that you shouldn't worry when it comes to virus infecting your xbox 360 via a USB flash drive. You see virus are created by scums of the internet (hackers) and they usually target the personal computer. So if ever there would be a virus on a flash drive I don't think it won't work on xbox 360, knowing that most virus are executable (.exe) or files which is not usually read by the console. |
