Yahoo! Answers: Xbox 360 Hard Drive - To Play Original XBox Games. Question?

Thank author of this post/commentI have a simple question. I heard that to be able to play the original xbox games on the xbox 360, you need a hard-drive. My question is: is the hard-drive the only thing you need to play those games? Do I need another accessory or xbox related content???

To answer that seemingly simple question is a seemingly simple answer.

First, be sure that the classic xbox games that you are going to play on your xbox 360 is backwards compatible, meaning that these games have been tested by most gamers and Microsoft themselves to emulate or work perfectly on the new console. See the link I've shared below for original xbox - xbox 360 compatible games. Second, although it is said that you need a hard drive to play, you can use your flash drives as well to store those games, given that such flash drives can accommodate the total file size of the xbox game you'll put on it. Finally, just play the actual xbox game disc on the xbox 360 to save memory.
